So come visit our club's sale, plus the street festival too!
ANY TIME DURING
THE CONVENTION
VISIT THE FISHER-PRICE TOYSTORE 636 Girard Avenue, East Aurora NY

At some point during the convention, everyone should stop by the Fisher-Price factory toy store, located at the Fisher-Price campus. While the store sells mainly new Fisher-Price toys, it's always fun to just look around! Sometimes there can be Fisher-Price clothing or memorabilia for sale that may catch a collector's eye!

Club members, come and chat! The annual Social Hour will take place on Friday July 25th from 1:30 to 2:30. The location is the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge at 645 Main Street in East Aurora NY. There should be parking in the back of the building, and also on side streets nearby. Enter through the ground floor entrance in the back of the building. We just gab the hour away talking about our lives, toys and collections! As a perk for club members, some sellers will be present and club members can buy early! (Not all sellers will be there, Saturday's sale will have all sellers present). Light refreshments will be served.

The club is working on offering to club members and their guests the opportunity to tour the inside of Fisher-Price. As of this writing, due to unforeseen issues, the tours have not been confirmed. If they happen, the tours will take you to areas that are not available to the public. If all goes well, there will be 2 different tours offered: one of the Heritage Center (aka the old Toytown Museum) and one "Behind-the-Scenes" Tour inside the Fisher-Price facility.

The Heritage Center is located right above the Toystore at the Fisher-Price building. Many years ago, it was open to the public and called the Toytown Museum. The museum was filled with displays about the history of Fisher-Price, and had multiple glass cases of Fisher-Price toys going right back to the very first ones produced! Sadly the Toytown Museum closed to the public around 2009. Fisher-Price has since rehabbed the area and added many new displays and renamed it the Heritage Center. For any club member who has never been, definitely sign up to visit the Heritage Center!

The Behind-the-Scenes tour will take people deeper into the Fisher-Price facility to see more of the factory which produced the toys we love. (We are still discussing the details of this tour; we will update when we get more information). But this tour will be very interesting for sure!

Tentatively, the tour schedule is as following:

Friday July 25th: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Friday July 25th: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Saturday July 26th: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Saturday July 26th: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

To attend a tour, email Becky at rah4fp@aol.com and let her know you're interested. When we get more information on whether the tours will be happening, she will email everyone.

If the tours happen, they will meet near the outside entrance of the Toystore at the Fisher-Price campus at 636 Girard Avenue in East Aurora NY. To get to the Toystore, when you arrive at Fisher-Price turn left immediately before the guard gate to get into the public parking lot. The Toystore faces Girard Avenue, can't miss it!

Open to all! Club Members and all Fisher-Price fans can buy raffle tickets for the club's annual fundraiser. This year, the prize is 2 Fisher-Price guide books: Fox and Murray's Fisher-Price Toys 1931 - 1963 (the tan book); and Fox and Murray's Fisher-Price Toys 1931 - present (the purple book). Both books are hardcovers. The purple book is a special employee edition, which is very hard to find! The tan book is signed by the author Bruce Fox. Both books show Fisher-Price toys year by year. The tan book mainly focuses on wooden pull toys, and the purple one has wooden and classic Little People toys and more through the late 1990's. The winner gets both books. The winner does not need to be present at the Convention to win - we will mail you the prize!

This year, tickets are $5 a chance. Club members can also buy tickets at the Social Hour on July 25th. To take a chance, use paypal to pay. For club members also paying for dinner reservations, you can combine the order (just make sure you mention in the notes field what you are paying for, it helps a lot!).

To buy a raffle ticket, it is $5 a chance. Log into your Paypal account at www.Paypal.com. Send your total amount to the email address fpcc1993@gmail.com (fpcc stands for Fisher-Price Collectors Club, plus the year 1993 when we first formed). It should say "Fisher-Price Club". Write your name in the memo field plus "raffle" and how many raffle tickets you are purchasing. Paypal then should send a confirmation that your payment went through. If you win, we will email you for your contact info to mail the prize. That should do it!
