The Fisher-Price
Collectors Club held our annual convention on July 26-27, 2024 in East Aurora NY. We had our annual sale, annual dinner,
social hour, and new for this year, tours of the Fisher-Price factory campus! The tours visited the Heritage Center located above
the Fisher-Price Toy Store located on Girard Avenue. The Heritage Center is not open to the public; the tours were
a special invitation just for club members and we are very appreciative of Fisher-Price for giving us this rare
opportunity to enter the building where our favorite toys were produced!
(The Heritage Center is the same space as the old Toytown Museum, which
closed around 2008).
The annual dinner was held on Friday July 26th at an old venue for us, the East Aurora American Legion who welcomed us with open arms. We had contests,
trivia, Fisher-Price prizes and a great buffet dinner. And for dessert? Fisher-Price themed cupcakes of course!
We had a wonderful turnout and spent the evening gabbing about life and our toys.
The annual sale was held on Saturday July 27th at the wonderful Blazing Star Masonic Lodge located at 645 Main Street. We had a full house of
vendors selling classic Fisher-Price toys. Our sale was part of the larger East Aurora Chamber of Commerce's Street and Sidewalk sale, which
brought lots of foot traffic to East Aurora for the weekend. Like most years, we had vendors selling lots of Fisher-Price Little People
parts, figures and sets and plus wooden pull toys galore! And so many more toys - dolls, puzzles, Adventure People loose pieces, newer
Little People figures and pieces, and boxed sets of all types of toys. And some of our vendors are part of a new growing area of
Fisher-Price collectors who create crafts based on Fisher-Price toys, very creative stuff!
